Two young athletes from Stanstead, Zachary Poitras and Léa Turgeon, had the privilege to represent the Estrie region at the 56th provincial finals of the Jeux du Québec winter games, edition 2023. Bravo!
LEA TURGEON
Lea has a short, but wonderful parcours
in the world of hockey. She started playing for the Cantonnier Pee Wee C in the 2021-2022 season
and then decided to try out
for the Harfangs feminine hockey team
at the Triolet high school. Lea had stars in her eyes when she got the phone call with the new that she was selected for the 2022- 2023 team.
She continues to give her all for her sport and had the opportunity to live an incredible experience with her team at the Jeux du Québec, in Rivière-du-Loup, and they came back with the silver medal.
Lea has a magnificent and ambitious goal: she hopes to one day join the Stanstead College feminine team. She gave her all during the Jeux d’hiver du Québec and we are very proud of all our athletes who represented the region of Estrie.
ZACHARY POITRAS
