The last municipal elections were held on November 7, 2021 in all municipalities across the province of Quebec. Town of Stanstead citizens voted to elect a mayor and 4 counsellors The remaining two council women (seats 2 and 3) were elected without opposition.
The following table presents the 2021 municipal election results.
Outside of the electoral period, you must communicate with the Centre de renseignements at Elections Quebec to obtain a registration form for the electoral list. You must then complete it, sign it and return it with photocopies of two pieces of ID to the address indicated on the postage-paid envelope.
If your registration request is accepted, you will receive a notice of registration confirmation.
Conditions to respect:
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Be a Canadian citizen;
- Be a resident of Quebec for at least 6 months;
- Not be under guardianship or tutorage;
- Not have been convicted of election fraud.
