The City reserves the right to refuse any application for the rental of space if the lessee intends to hold a meeting that does not comply with any of the general provisions or special conditions.
1. General provisions
a) Any meeting or gathering held in municipal spaces shall not contravene public decency. Under no circumstances should the neighborhood be disturbed by excessive sound,
annoying parking, or any other nuisance.
b) All rules of hygiene and cleanliness must be observed.
c) Users will be required to comply with provincial laws regarding smoking and alcohol use.
(d) The Lessee shall be responsible for ensuring that all persons respect the integrity of the premises
physical interior and exterior of the premises. In this sense, the tenant is responsible for the breakage,
loss or theft of the equipment made available to them.
(e) During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lessee is responsible for enforcing the rules of
distance and sanitary measures in effect on the day a room is rented, according to public health guidelines.
f) City-owned spaces are public and neutral. Consequently, no
meeting with the objective of promoting a group or individual for political purposes,
religious, commercial or financial will be allowed.
2. Special rental conditions
a) All rental applications must be submitted to the municipal administration at least one (1)
week before the event.
b) A deposit of $100 is required at the signing of the contract to compensate, if applicable, for the costs
for breakage, loss or theft of equipment including loss of key (if applicable). This deposit will be given
to the tenant when he/she will hand over the keys the day after the activity or on the first
ouvrable (lundi).
c) It is forbidden to attach posters, stickers or photos to any surface with scotch tape, tacks or nails.
d) The tenant is responsible for the cleanliness of the premises. He/she must pick up and drop off the papers,
bottles, liquor cans, plastic glasses, etc., in the plastic garbage bags provided for this purpose. Then deposit everything in the appropriate containers.
(e) The Tenant shall ensure that the windows and lights are closed and the doors locked upon leaving the premises. In addition, the tenant must reset the alarm system, if applicable.
